Meet our Staff

Becky

Hi! My name is Becky. I started working at Lion's Lair in 2003, and I really enjoy working with the public. Our customers come from all over the world, so I meet a lot of interesting and happy people--of course they're happy because they're in the Keys! My husband and I moved here in 2001 from Michigan. I love the warm weather and the beautiful foliage of Florida. There is always something in bloom and rarely does the sun not shine. When I'm not at work, the majority of my free time is spent in volunteer Bible education work. Like myself, many residents of the Keys are non-natives, so again, I'm meeting people from all over the world--Lithuania, Albania, Jamaica, Russia, Canada. The list goes on. Maybe one day I'll have a chance to meet you!

Carol

Hello! I'm Carol. You could say that I've worked for Kim (the owner) my whole life. I'm her mom. We have one male staff member who is behind the scenes in the office--Kim's dad. He is the one creating the website, along with a little bit of everything else. I've been lucky enough to have been married to him for over 40 years. I started working here when Kim needed the help. Now, I do it because I love the interaction with the staff and customers. The staff has a team spirit. They work well with each other and give excellent customer service. Our customers hail from all over the U.S. and Europe. Many drop in every time they visit the Keys. We always enjoy welcoming them back.

Kimberly

Hi! I'm Kim, owner and founder of Lion's Lair. I was born in NY, grew up in London, England and moved to the Keys in 1989. I love the climate and the crystal blue waters of the Keys. However, try as I might I just can't squeeze into a standard bikini. So began my quest to create a swim wear store that catered to real women, not just size 5 models. Over the years, personal experience, customer input, and working with receptive manufacturers have resulted in Lion's Lair present selection. We pride ourselves with the ability to professionally fit every body type. There's no need to dress like your grandmother. There's no reason to feel self-conscious. We have the perfect suit for you. The perfect suit with the perfect fit.

Savannah

I'm Savannah, and I moved here from Denver, Colorado in 2003. I decided that I was sick of blizzards and that I'd take my chances with the hurricanes. I love living here because of the beautiful weather and the laid-back atmosphere. I recently had a baby, so I get little time for my other hobbies: reading and fishing. I started working at Lion's Lair in January of 2006, and I love everything about working here. I enjoy helping the owner locate new lines to fulfill our customers needs. I spend a lot of time in the office, so if you call, there's a good chance I will be the one answering the phone!

Stephanie

Hi! My name is Stephanie. I grew up in VT. and moved to the Keys in 2001 from Vail, CO. My husband, daughter, and I (and baby due 12/08) love making our home here! We can go island hopping in our boat and head out to some of the world's best snorkelling! The water is beautiful, and the climate suits bathing suit weather year round! I have been with Lion's Lair Swimwear since Feb. '08. I enjoy meeting so many different people, and it's lots of fun to help women find the perfect style and fit!
